Make yourself noticed
The results of the ADAC light test in 2012 again made sobering reading: More than half the vehicles on the road had serious lighting system faults. A prominent problem was incorrect adjustment of the headlamps and fog lamps. In addition to difficulties with height adjustment,"no-name bulbs" are often at the root of the problem. If such products are used for replacement, manufacturing inaccuracies alone lead to headlamp misalignment. An incalculable risk, as defective or incorrectly adjusted headlamps represent a danger to all road users. So we recommend the annual "Light & Sight" test initiated by the transport ministry and which we are pleased to perform free of charge at our workshops.
Our expert advice
Particularly in the winter and autumn, fast reactions are essential when driving to be able to deal with adverse weather and road conditions. So it is important to always ensure the best possible visibility, for example by using the new wiper blades with AeroTwin technology and high-output bulbs from Bosch. You can then be sure to recognize hazardous situations more quickly and react in good time when necessary.
See and be seen even better
Do you consider that good visibility is the most important factor when driving? It is equally important to be clearly seen by others. If a brake light is not functioning properly for example, rear-end collisions become almost inevitable. The same is true of a defective turn signal indicator. And changing weather conditions, frost, heat and dirt all take their toll on wipers. So it goes without saying that wiper replacement is essential from time to time. All of these are good reasons for regular checking of the lights and wipers in your vehicle.
Dipped beam day and night
Did you know that daytime driving lights are obligatory in 20 EU countries? Offenders face a penalty of up to 180.- euro. Cars traveling with dipped headlights are always easier to see – in fog, snow or rain. Driving with "normal" dipped beam does however also result in greater wear and tear on the bulbs. We recommend using extremely durable Daytime bulbs from Bosch so you can drive around with your lights on all the time.
